What Is a College Union?
If you're looking for a great way to help others understand college unions, be sure you have copies of "51 facts about college unions" to share with students and colleagues. Many campuses have found success using this booklet in retreats, training programs, and back-to-school events, and ACUI offers quantity discounts for 50+ and 100+ copies.
New Communities of Practice
New communities of practice have been added! Members can self-affiliate with as many or as few as desired. There is no additional cost to receive the benefits from these collaborative, knowledge-based groups. Join an existing community of practice through your member profile or e-mail Zack Wahlquist to start a new one.
Inclusive Excellence
ACUI has a rich history of diversity within its volunteer membership. It is imperative that we not only continue to reflect this diversity but also seek ways to increase it and become a true multicultural organization committed to inclusive excellence.
With this in mind, the ACUI Board of Trustees has developed a new task force to provide recommendations for how ACUI can be more inclusive to multicultural populations. Those who would like to be considered for participation on the task force should submit a letter of interest, resume, and list of past involvement with ACUI as well as other professional and community volunteer service.
For full consideration, please e-mail your application materials to volunteer@acui.org by the extended deadline of Nov. 21, 2008.
